Former senator Jinggoy Estrada lambasted senator Leila De Lima, after the lady politician asked the court to allow her to attend senate debates despite of being detained inside the Philippine National Police Custodial Center in Camp Crame.

In his post, Estrada reminded De Lima that he also asked the court to fulfill his duty as a senator and attend sessions, but in the end the Sandiganbayan didn’t gave him permission to appear in the senate.

Now Jinggoy said that lady senator could face the same experience. He also asked De Lima if she really thinks that people still love and support her despite of the controversies that she faced including her alleged connection with the National Bilibid drug lords.

Estrada also said that De Lima was already unnecessary in the senate because the upper house can still function without her.

The former senator explained that the senate still functioned even three senators where detained during that times.

Jinggoy told De Lima that the lady senator should know that the senate will still work without her because she’s a topnotch lawyer.

Former senators Jinggoy Estrada, Bong Revilla and former senate president Juan Ponce Enrile were ordered to be detained in PNP Custodial Center where senator Leila De Lima is also currently staying.

Instead of trying to ask the court to attend senate sessions, Jinggoy gave an advice to De Lima that it’s better to pray for the success of President Rodrigo Duterte.

This is the whole post of Estrada:

Marami kang taga-suporta? Nagkakamali ka!!! 😡😡😡

The Senate can function even without you!! In fact, they don’t even need your vote! You should know that!! You’re supposed to be a topnotch lawyer, right?

They can easily muster a quorum with or without us. Eh ikaw pa, nag-iisa ka lang!

Just an unsolicited advice to you Madam Leila, I don’t think you should push through with your plan of filing a motion before the court for you to attend the Senate sessions. That will prove to be an exercise in futility.

Last week, the members of the senate minority unveiled their plan to ask the court to let senator Leila De Lima attend senate sessions even through remote or electronic means.

De Lima said that she owes her supporters who voted for her and she need to do the duty that she gave to her by the Filipino people.

She was accused of protecting the illegal drug trade inside the National Bilibid Prison during her time as the Justice Secretary.

The lady senator is still detained in the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame because of the drug charges that filed against her.

Canadian political scientist Amir Assadollahi slams United Nation special rapporteur Agnes Callamard's Philippines' visit.

On his Facebook account, Assadollahi said he doesn't believe that Callamard is in the country for an academic conference.

"I don't buy it even for a second that she visited the Philippines for an "academic conference," Assadollahi said.

He also said that Callamard's behavior shows 'someone who does not fully understand diplomatic protocols and thinks she is above anything in international relations.'

Read his full post below:

"I don't buy it even for a second that she visited the Philippines for an "academic conference."

Even if she was in the Philippines for an academic conference, her position and diplomatic protocol dictates that she should have informed the U.N. counterpart representing the Philippines of her intention to visit the country.

Though this may not relate, it is also protocol for military representatives and government officials, judges, etc to inform of their official government position in the immigration/customs entry form. Another example of protocol is when a country's military personals attend school in another country, in which they must wear their country's military uniform while attending school and while still in service even though attending school in another country. Violation of such uniform code can be considered as military espionage and sever or put strain on diplomatic ties.

Her behavior shows that she is someone who does not fully understand diplomatic protocols and thinks she is above anything in international relations.

Commission on Appointments chairman and senator Manny Pacquiao expressed his admiration to former environment secretary Gina Lopez after she was rejected by the majority of the CA.

In his speech, he said that the deliberation of the appointment of Lopez was one of the longest, dramatic and most watched by all the Filipinos.

He also believes that Gina’s love and passion for the environment is amazing and he said the fight of Lopez is not yet over.

Despite of being the chairman of the CA, senator Pacquiao didn’t controlled the decision of the other members of the commission, but he respected the decision of the majority even he was saddened by the fate of the environmentalist.

This is the full speech of senator Pacquiao:

Senator Manny Pacquiao’s speech on the ad-interim appointment of Gina Lopez as DENR Secretary:
Good afternoon, distinguished members of the Commission on Appointments, ladies, and gentlemen.
The deliberation of the Ad-Interim Appointment of Ms. Gina Lopez as Secretary of the DENR was perhaps the longest, dramatic, and most watched by all Filipinos from all walks of life, both rich and the poor.

To my mind, this is not only Gina’s fight for the environment, but a fight between Filipinos versus Filipinos who both need the Environment- one group to use it and the other to preserve it.
Gina’s uphill climb to reach her goal as DENR Secretary was a tall call decision that perhaps the Wisdom of Solomon must be sought.

As Chairman of this Committee, I have to hear both sides, one of Gina’s and the other of her oppositors.
To Gina, I truly admire your passion and love for the environment: your dreams to make the brown fields turn into green again; the water to be clean; and clean fresh air to surround our land.
I remember, I was your partner in preserving the environment way back, wala pa tayo noon sa politics at gobyerno.
Then President Duterte appointed you as DENR Secretary and with your pronouncement na paulit-ulit na ikaw ay ZERO PERCENT corruption tolerance, I told myself, you would really make a difference.
But today, the Commission has voted and has met the required 13 votes. With sadness in my heart, this Committee, through this Plenary, is terminating its deliberation on Gina Lopez’ appointment, Not in the way I personally wanted to, but by the decision of the majority which I am sorry, but we must all respect.
To you, Gina Lopez my supposed DENR Secretary, I salute you. Take this turmoil in your life today as a Challenge to strive for
more. The DENR post, with a great caliber as you are, is not the end of your career but only the beginning. As one chinese proverb
said, “ONE STEP BACKWARD, TWO STEPS FORWARD.”
I believe in my heart that no matter how several big people may be against Gina, she will always stand on what she believes is morally and environmentally right and righteous, she remains unperturbed, she remains REGINA PAZ LAO- LOPEZ , the woman with a gold mine of heart.
I move for the body to adopt the said resolution. I so move, Mr. President.

On Wednesday, Commission on Appointments rejected Gina Lopez to become the secretary of environment.

Sources said that 16 members of the commission voted against her and only eight voted in favor of her.

Liberal Party treasurer Josephine "Nene" Ramirez-Sato is one of the congresspersons who rejected the appointment of Gina Lopez as DENR secretary on Wednesday, May 3, 2017.

Ramirez-Sato, 62-year-old, known for asking toughest questions at the Cabinet appointees of President Rodrigo Duterte during their appointment hearings before the CA.

She was seen grilling Gina Lopez on the latter's technical capabilities of the law after she cancelled 75 mineral production sharing agreements in watersheds all over the country.

Way back 2013, the Sandiganbayan 4th Division has issued a hold departure order against Ramirez-Sato. She was still a governor of Occidental Mindoro during that time. [ABS-CBN News]

The hold departure order due to an allegation of failure to make delivery of public property and was signed by was signed by Justices Gregory Ong, Jose Hernandez and Maria Cristina Cornejo.

Ramirez-Sato was accused of failing to turn over to the provincial government a mobile clinic and medical equipment donated by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) and another foundation worth P3.4 million.

However in 2015, the Sandiganbayan has junked the graft case over the delay on the part of the Office of the Ombudsman to complete its investigation. [PhiStar]

“The period of almost 11 years for the ombudsman to resolve the case against the accused constitutes inordinate delay in resolving the case, in violation of the accused’s constitutional right to speedy disposition of her case,” the Sandiganbayan said in a decision promulgated last Jan. 23.

“Such violation gives cause for the dismissal of the case against her,” it added.

Another alleged scandal of Rep. Nene Sato is her 'discovered mansion' in Antipolo City Rizal. The said was featured in 'XXX', a previous documentary show of ABS-CBN.

Defensor Knack: prisoners were used as drug traffickers in Cory's time

Atty Paula Defensor Knack, an international law expert based in the Hague and the sister of late Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago revealed on her Facebook account an encounter while she was a student in which she proves that illegal drug trafficking was prevalent during the time of late President Corazon Aquino.

She said that while a student, she had her practicum in Manila City Jail and there she saw prisoners naked and in inhumane conditions.

"Nakita namin ang mga preso na hubad, nakabartolina sa labas, at sa loob nanman siksik na siksik at basa ang sahig at walang higaan at gamit," she said.

She said that was an authentic experience.

"Ang kanilang pagkain na alogbati at talong niluluto sa lupa gamit malaking kaldero at pala. Ang warden nagpapalabas ng preso kung gabi raw para tumulong sa drug trafficking," she said.

"Nasaan ang mga dilaw?" she added.

Dilaw or yellow is the color associated with the Liiberal Party and its members.

Cory Aquino's son, Benigno Aquino III was the president before incumbent President Rodrigo Duterte.

Officials under the Liberal Party which Aquino is a member of have served as the face of Duterte's administration especially detained Senator Leila de Lima who iniated a hearing against the alleged extrajudicial killings in the country because of the drug war.

She also added on a separate post that the secret jail compartment dates back to the Aquino administration. Much light has been given to allegations of secret compartments in national penitentiaries made for high profile inmates wherein they have the privilege of keeping luxuries not allowed in jail.

Netizens who supported President Rodrigo Duterte attacked CNN International for labeling the Filipino leader an ‘admitted killer’ during their news program.

CNN international’ headline “TRUMP INVITES ADMITTED KILLER TO WHITE HOUSE” is about Trump’s invitation to President Rodrigo Duterte that received negative reactions from the Filipino people on social media.

Netizen Hayden U. Sison posted an open letter to CNN International, questioned them for labeling President Duterte a killer. He also listed some of the 32 countries bombed by United States of America after the World War 2.

Even the followers of Hayden U. Sison bombarded the CNN International of negative comments and cuss because of their alleged malicious headline.

Supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte urged the people to boycott CNN International for being critical against President Rodrigo Duterte.

Since President Rodrigo Duterte came to his office, he got the attention of the international media and human rights group because of his harsh actions to fight illegal drugs in the Philippines.

Some Pro-Duterte bloggers also accused that the opposition paid for PR to boost the black propaganda against the Filipino President.

President Rodrigo Duterte admitted before that he killed three criminals during police operations during his term as Davao City Mayor.

Atty Paula Defonsor-Knack, international lawyer and the sister of late Senator Miram Defensor-Santiago in her Facebook page got into a verbal duel with Ateneo School of Government dean, Atty. Antonio La Vina.

Knack shared on Sunday a column article by La Vina  published in the Manila Standard which she said spoke of a possibility that the complaint filed against President Rodrigo Duterte in the International Criminal Court by Atty. Jude Sabio will move faster than expected.

She also claimed that La Vina visited the Philippine Embassy and that he said that he met with Judge Raul Pangalangan, who was elected as ICC judge in 2015.

The post read, "A few weeks ago, Prof. La Vina visited the PH Embassy. He said he met with Judge Pangalangan at the ICC. In his Manila column today while the ASEAN summit is ongoing, he reveals" the ICC case will move faster than expected.

She then commented, "That's fun. Mexico's drug war with the US won't be charged, only Pres. Duterte et.al."

The complaint filed by lawyers to the ICC to stop the Mexican drug war did not push through.

La Vina then commented in the post saying that the claim by Knack was not  true.

"I do not mention the embassy or Judge Pangalangan at all in the column. I only mention the statement of the ICC prosecutor last October,"

Knack answered by saying that the post did not say that the embassy or the judge were mentioned in the column, and asked La Vina to reread her post.

"But you said in the embassy you said went to Judge Pangalangan in the ICC. You happened to talk about it to the Legal Advisor of the Philippine Embassy mismo because you were not using your head."

She said she is in charge of peace and security issues he is unaware of.

"Just to let you know Judge Pangalangan in a separate occasion in the Embassy also warned against "COMPLACENCY" in the ICC. EXACTLY THE SAME WORD. NABASA MO  BA ISIP NI PANGALANGAN? THAT IS STRANGE. Nagmeeting lang kayo, pareho na dictionary nyo. BAKIT PAREHO SINABI NYO?"

She also questioned how the dean and a student got funding for their European Justice Project on the Philippine drug war.

"For whom are you working? It does not appear to be Ateneo."
