Senator Ping Lacson joked during the Senate Hearing on “Tokhang For Ransom” case Thursday and reminded the PNP to be careful because they may play the CCTV Footage of Senator Leila De Lima while they are presenting the CCTV footage of the kidnapping scene.

When Senator De Lima was asking if someone can improve the CCTV footage showed by the PNP, Senator Lacson suddenly quipped and reminded that they may play the footage of Senator De Lima.

“Ingat kayo baka CCTV ni Senator De Lima ang lumabas dyan ah” Senator Lacson quips.

After that everyone laughs including Senator De Lima who didn’t offended by her colleague’s joke.

Lacson even said that Senator Bam Aquino saw a file in the monitor named “De Lima” but when De Lima asked if its real, her colleague clarified that he’s only joking.

The CCTV footage and video recordings presented to the Senate is some evidences that will show that one of the suspect in the kidnapping-murder case of a South Korean Businessman SPO3 Ricky Isabel is present when the crime happened.

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has hit back at Philippine Catholic priest and bishops, accusing them hypocrisy and corruption, clergymen of homosexuality and child molesting.

President Duterte on Thursday, during a speech to newly-promoted police officers at Malacanang, he expressed his disappointment to Catholic priest and Bishops.

“You expose me, fine. I expose you. Why? When you commit mistakes it’s OK, but when we do, no? Bullshit. That’s stupid,” Duterte said.

The president revealed that he was molested by a priest when he was young in act of sexual awakening.

Duterte said he did not file a complaint for fear of what would happen, said priest had their skeletons in the closet.

“You asked for it. If you want a showdown, then let’s have a showdown. You mend your ways. If you cannot given justice to the small boys that you have molested in the past, you do not have that moral ascendancy to lecture [me] on what to do. Sanctity of life? You’re enjoying your worth,” Duterte said.

“When we were young, I talked to cabinet members. When we were making confessions to you, we were being molested,” Duterte added.

The president mentioning alleged homosexual acts taking place inside seminaries.

“What will you do with the homosexuality in you seminaries? What have you done to the children there?...  Mga le**e kayo [You fools],” he said.

“You are in palaces while you faithful are in squatters areas and then you talk about sanctity? Look at your mirror.”

“What is you moral ascendancy in the Philippine? Religion? What is the meaning of it? You do not help us. You just keep on talking,” The president said.

The president also slams the failure of the church to explain how donations in the country in which about 80 percent of the Filipino are Catholic.

Recently, President Duterte banned X-rated website in the Philippines, including ‘Pornhub’ and ‘XVIDEOS’ as part of a crackdown on child pornography.

“What did the church do? The Catholic Church earns millions every week all throughout the Philippines. There are many churches. Where is the money of the people?” Duterte said.

“We explain how we use our funds to the people. You? Priest and Bishops, you wear fancy clothes, you have vihicles. Do you have a house, even with just five rooms, for rehab? What did your church do?”

“You count money instead of going around the neighbourhoods, explaining to the people why they should not be in that industry because they will die. Now you want the killings to end? All you have to do is to preach because most of the people here are Catholics,”

“Remember you asked vehicles from Gloria? Knowing full well that the policemen have no vihicles. You had [Mitsubishi] Pajero, you sons of b*****s,”

Recently, the President slams the Catholic Priest for its opposition to his war on drugs in the country.

“The Church really doesn’t understand. They know [the drug problem], they know that it is worst, and yet, they said that extrajudicial killing is not good,”

On Wednesday, according to Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Jesus Duresa, Pope Francis blessed the Philippines and President Duterte as well.

Is it just too much of a “coincidence” that the house help of South Korean businessman Jee Ick-joo was hired just a day before he was abducted and killed last October 18?

Senator Leila de Lima raised this question on Thursday during a hearing of the Senate committee on public order and dangerous drugs investigating the kidnap-slay of the Korean trader.

Jee was taken from his house in Angeles City, Pampanga along with his house help, Marisa Morquicho, but she was later freed while the businessman was strangled to death allegedly by the principal accused, SPO3 Ricky Sta. Isabel.

“Mayroon lang talagang bumabagabag sa utak ko kanina po, ‘yung tungkol ho kay Ms. Marisa…kasi nga sinabi n’ya, na she was hired by the victim and his wife the day before the actual incident. Sabi nga ho ni Mr. Chair, kailangan maging madumi rin ang utak natin, nagiimbestiga tayo ngayon e so ang utak ng imbestigador dapat madumi talaga,” De Lima, former justice secretary, said.

(Something’s been eating me about Ms. Marisa, because as she said, she was hired by the victim and his wife the day before the actual incident. As Mr. Chair said, we have to have a malicious thinking; we are conducting an investigation, and investigator’s line of thinking is malicious.)

“Is it too much of a coincidence? As I said, hindi ako sigurado . I’m just speaking aloud, baka naman inside job?” she asked.

(Is it too much of a coincidence? What is her background? How was Ms. Marisa hired and who recommended her? As I said, I’m not very sure. I’m just speaking aloud, but could there have been an inside job?)
Speaking through an interpreter, Jee’s wife, Choi Kyung-jin, said Morquicho was introduced to them by a close Korean friend and it was confirmed by the house help.

“Opo Ma’am ni-refer lang ako ng kabigan n’ya po (Yes, Ma’am, I was just referred to her by her friend),” Morquicho said but does not also know the name of the person who recommended her to the couple.

“Hindi ko po alam ‘yung name n’ya Ma’am e kasi friend po ‘yun ng dati kong amo (Ma’am, I don’t know her name as she was just the friend of my former employer),” she said.

Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III said in an interview that former President,Benigno Aquino III may be summoned by the fact-finding commission eyed,by President Rodrigo Duterte to investigate anew the Mamasapano incident.

As stated by Pimentel, an objective, investigation is needed to get to the bottom of the story, an article published,by GMA News Online mentioned.

A close ally of Duterte, the senate, president, stressed that Aquino has lost his immunity from, suit when his term as president ended in June 2016.

Earlier, the Chief Executive, stated he will form a top level fact-finding commission that would, reopen the investigation on the Mamasapano massacre, which, killed more than 60 people to include 44 members of the,Special Action Force (SAF).

As such, Duterte said Aquino fed,the SAF 44 to the “lion’s den.”

In stating this, Pimentel said the,President  clearly expressed dissatisfaction with the, investigation, which had already been conducted both by a Board,of Inquiry (BOI) of the Philippine National Police and the Senate, public order committee.

However, Pimentel said the commission, show its independence from Duterte’s statements; further dismissing criticisms that there is another motive behind the, reopening of the Mamasapano investigation.

In addition to this, Pimentel, cleared that on the part of the Senate a separate investigation is not, needed considering the legislative priorities they intend to pass, within the year.

Earlier, the Senate public order, committee spearheaded by Senator Grace Poe in the past Congress, concluded that Aquino was “ultimately responsible” for the Mamasapano massacre.

SAF commandos in January,2015 swooped down on a bandit hideout in Mamasapano to,neutralize international terrorists Zulkifli Bin-hir aka,Marwan and Bassit Usman.

Marwan was killed but the, group encountered armed groups, including members of the,Moro Islamic Liberation Front, just as they were pulling, out of the area.

Senator Alan Peter Cayetano posed a challenge on,Friday to Senator Antonio Trillanes IV: Let’s resign from the Senate together.
Cayetano issued the challenge as he denied,Trillanes’ allegation that he was leading an alleged ouster plot against Senate President “Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III.
Such allegation, he said, was just Trillanes’ “figment of imagination” as he had no plans to snatch the Senate leadership from Pimentel.

(He should go first because he’s the one,who promised to resign if the crime, corruption and illegal drugs problems are not solved within three to six months.)

But Cayetano disclosed that he had offered, once to resign at the Senate at the height of the leadership race, noting that he might have to do it anyway, in the middle of this year if President Rodrigo Duterte would ask him to help his administration.

He also disclosed that the Senate presidency was also, being given to him before “in a silver platter” but that he refused it because he did not want Liberal Party senators to be part of the majority bloc, particularly Senator Leila de Lima leading, the Senate committee on justice.

“If ako ang problema, and you don’t want me,in the Senate…Sabi nya (Pimentel), pare walang ganun, you’re welcome here, kelangan ka,namin, tulong- tulong tayo,” he added.
(I told Senator Koko, if you want me to sign, I will resign from the Senate, anyway I will be helping the President by mid-2017 and he would, call on me to help him.

Cayetano said it would be “useless” to snatch the,Senate presidency from Pimentel if he would join the Duterte administration after five or six months.

“It’s useless, sisirain ko lang ang pangalan,ko kasi wala akong magagawa (I would just ruin my reputation because I won’t be able,to achieve anything) within five months. I wanted it when I thought I had,12 months (in the Senate),” he further said.

Instead of sowing intrigues, Cayetano urged,Trillanes to do something “very productive” for the administration. CDG/rga

A video of Filipina-American businesswoman and philanthropist Loida Nicolas-Lewis goes viral on the internet because of his statements against the other candidates including President Rodrigo Duterte.

Mrs. Lewis is one of the most active supporter of the Liberal Party tandem Mar Roxas and Leni Robredo in United States of America and she led a community of Fil-Ams who supported the yellows.

In the video, she mocks the opponents of the lose Presidential Candidate Mar Roxas.

The Filipino people will see, that Mar Roxas and Leni Robredo has the capacity, the ability and the integrity to lead our nation to become a head nation. All the rest either magnanakaw, mamatay tao, may cancer, Amerikana.

Lewis also dreamed for an 18 years of ‘good governance’ under daang matuwid, 6 years for former President Benigno Aquino, and another 12 years for Mar Roxas and Leni Robredo.

But despite of these statements, Loida Lewis denied that they are plotting to oust President Rodrigo Duterte to give way to the 18 years of ‘good governance under daang matuwid’

SPEAKER Pantaleon Alvarez on Monday allayed apprehension that President Rodrigo Duterte would declare martial law in connection with his continuing war against illegal drugs in the country.

At the same time, the House leader emphasized that the war on drugs, criminality and corruption is really intended to lay the ground for the restoration of law and order so that the Duterte administration can focus on growing the economy, reducing poverty and improving the living standards of Filipinos.

Earlier, opposition lawmakers pounced on Pres. Duterte’s pronouncements that if it becomes necessary to preserve the nation he would not hesitate to do it.

“I said it before and I’ll say it again: I know him personally and I sincerely believe he will not declare martial law,” Alvarez said.

The Speaker said he believes the recent pronouncement of Duterte on the possible declaration of martial law is consistent with the Chief Executive’s style of issuing dramatic statements to stress his message.

“That statement merely shows President Duterte’s resolve end the scourge of illegal drugs in the country,” Alvarez said.

Alvarez said that even if his critics take the President seriously, it is far-fetched for him to declare martial law because the administration is clearly gaining headway in its war against illegal drugs in the country.

He noted that the administration has now begun to address corruption in the bureaucracy and illegal gambling.

Alvarez said that besides being a lawyer, President Duterte is well aware of the legal requirements as well as limitations regarding the declaration of martial law.

“That is why I believe all the apprehension about the prospect of declaration of martial law is largely unfounded,” Alvarez stressed.

The House leader said that once the drug menace has been substantially reduced, then government can focus its efforts and resources on infrastructure development and faster delivery of vital social services such as education and health to the most vulnerable sectors in society.

Alvarez cited the reported nearly P1 trillion in official development assistance from China and Japan in the first seven months of the Duterte administration as a positive development that would certainly accelerate economic growth and poverty reduction.

“If President Duterte has been able to gain the trust and confidence of the leaders of China and Japan as shown by their unqualified support for our economic development through ODA, then I am very optimistic that we can harness the support of other members of the international community for our development programs in the years ahead,” Alvarez said.

“The President’s consistently high approval and trust ratings among Filipinos across geographical areas and social classes since he took office in July last year tell us one thing: he has been doing the right things and we should unite and fully support his efforts to achieve ‘tunay na pagbabago’ or real change that he promised during the campaign,” he added.

Journalist Ira Panganiban shared his own experienced growing up under the Martial Law. He started his story by describing the situation of his family.

Their family was not rich, they started at the bottom and make their way up through his father's hard work and effort.

He said that his father sent him and his siblings to good schools and his mother was a plain housewife because his father's salary was good enough for their needs.

When they were young, they do not worry or fear the streets even during nights because the police were their friends, but they are afraid of soldiers because they carry guns to maintain peace and order.

He also said that during his teenage years, he was brought to Camp Crame because of curfew law. However, he was never tortured or imprisoned, he just scrubbed walls the whole day.

He ended his letter by saying, not all things were bad under the Martial Law.

Read his full letter below:

"50-years old na ako.

Umangat hanggang naging boss.

Nagkabisyo, napahilig sa good time at inaabot ng curfew.

Lassengo, puro good time, laging nasa kalye. Pushing the limit of my boundaries ika nga.

Robles hit Robredo on the recent issues of her reacting to being disinvited to President RodrigoDuterte's  Vin D'Honneur and giving a cold shoulder on LeniLeaks where a group of prominentpersonalities and her own staff have been allegedly giving exchanges on how to improve her image and damage that of Bongbong Marcos, including as some would claim, plots against the current administration.

Robles said that Leni can't help but get into every issue, and is being vocal even on unnecessary news that do not involve or require her.

He also criticized her absence in Bicol during typhoon Nina.

“On countering illegal drugs, we want to work together with the Philippines to think of relevant measures of support,” paliwanag ni Abe na dumating sa bansa kahapon para sa 2-araw na state visit.

The funding of the said project – which will be composed of construction of 37 kilometers of new elevated commuter railway from Malolos, Bulacan to Tutuban, Manila; procurement of rolling stock; and installation of electro-mechanical systems – will be funded through Official Development Assistance (ODA) by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

“Special Terms for Economic Partnership (STEP) will be applied to this project, and it is expected that Japanese technology such as construction techniques for elevated railways, efficient signal systems and rolling stock will be utilized,” JICA said.

In November 2015, JICA signed the loan agreement with the Government of the Republic of the Philippines to provide a Japanese ODA loan of up to 241.991 billion yen for the North – South Commuter Railway Project (Malolos – Tutuban).

In August 11, 2016, President Rodrigo Duterte met Japan Minister of Foreign Affairs Fumio Kishida at the Presidential Guest House in Panacan, Davao City. Duterte and Kishida discussed the said project.

Moreover, Japan is also helping in the feasibility study of a 55-kilometer railway line from Malolos to Clark in Pampanga, and offered to build the first 100-kilometers of the 2,000-km Mindanao railway system.

It's his house. Homeowner. Kung hindi mo naman kasundo ang in-invite, why would you invite? Sabi ko nga sa interview, awkward. Awkward di ba?" Andanar told reporters in Malacañang.

Tapos sabi niya, sabi ni ES, 'Eh magkakaroon siya ng sarili niyang vin d’honneur next year,'" he said and then laughed.
