June 2017

President Rodrigo Duterte during his first appearance in public since last week, announced that government allocated ₱20-B to rehabilitate war-torn Marawi City.

During his speech at the Eid’l Fitr celebrations in Malacañang Palace, he said that he’s willing to add more funds to the “Bangon Marawi” program if needed just to bring back the destroyed houses and other infrastructure in Marawi City because of the war between the government forces and Marawi terrorist group.

The President also expressed his sadness because the fractured ideology from the Islamic State already reached Mindanao.

“As president from Mindanao, alam ko kung ano ang sakit ng puso n’yo,” Duterte said.

“Ang masakit sa akin pumasok ang isang fractured ideology… All they want to do is kill and destroy,” Duterte added.

President Rodrigo Duterte also slammed extremism and he said that it’s only blocked the improving lives of the people.

Duterte promised that the people would see ‘Marawi rise as a prosperous city again’

He said that he already asked finance secretary Sonny Dominguez that he really needed funds to rehabilitate Marawi and bring it back to it’s normal condition or ‘better this time’.

“I need to rehabilitate Marawi, kundi I will remain forever na kontrabida,”

The President also apologized to the people and expressed his sadness that Maranao people were killed because of the war.

“I am very sorry that this has to happen. I am not happy na namamatay ang mga Maranao,” he said.

President Rodrigo Duterte urged the Mindanaoans, to take care of the people and stood up against extremism.

Duterte told his guests that the people will live in peace for the next generation and assured that there will be no abuses from the government side.

According to the crisis management committee spokesman, at least 30 percent to 40 percent of Marawi City has been destroyed due to the clashes between local terror group Maute and government forces.

“Well, if you based that on the concentration of the fighting and the assault of the government, I guess 30 percent to 40 percent of Marawi City is damaged,” Adiong said in an interview on ANC.

“We are talking about the city center, we are talking about where the socio-economic life really is concentrated so we are talking about schools, we are talking about  private and civilian properties, we are taking about markets,” he added.

Adiong also said there were some 246,000 individuals affected by the clashes and most of them are really hard to track down.

Senator Antonio Trillanes IV seems not affected by the netizens who mocked him after they watched his interview with BBC’s HARDtalk host Stephen Sackur.

Last week, the video of Trillanes being interviewed by Stephen Sackur has gone viral on the internet after the netizens saw that the international journalist made the interview difficult for the Filipino senator.

Trillanes said that being interviewed in the most difficult talkshow for any guest was one of the proudest moments of his life.

“It is what it is. People who watched the full interview (not the spliced one) are entitled to their own opinions. The haters will hate; the believers will believe,” Trillanes said in a statement.

“Personally, knowing the impact of the interview to the global audience and knowing now that ‘Hardtalk’ is very popular yet the most difficult talkshow for any guest, I can honestly say that it is one of the proudest moments in my public life,” he added.

Sackur made the interview difficult to Trillanes after he said that the senator’s comment seemed “out of tune” and “inharmonious” with the beliefs of the ordinary Filipinos since President Duterte still remain popular in the Philippines despite of tremendous amount of accusations and criticisms that he received from the opposition.

But Trillanes said that President Rodrigo Duterte’s alleged propaganda machine controlled the minds of the Filipino people and they said that “they don’t really get to know the magnitude of the damage Duterte has done,”

Sackur also pointed out that Duterte still enjoying high approval rate despite of the controversies.

Trillanes responded and he said that Sackur cited the old rating of President Rodrigo Duterte and he believes that the Filipino leader’s popularity would shrink because more and more Filipinos were already informed by the damage done by the President.

Sackur interrupted Trillanes and said that if Western politicians got a 75 percent approval rating, it would be the happiest day of their life.

Well acknowledged Historian and De La Salle University professor Van Ybiernas condemns the CBCP under the leadership of Socrates Villegas for listing Pro-Duterte blog sites as sources of fake news.

Ybiernas said that Villegas brought CBCP in a position wherein CBCP meddles with affairs that secular organizations should not. “ Ito ang pangunahing pinuna ni Jose Rizal sa kanyang mga nobelang Noli Me Tangere at El Filibusterismo. Ito rin ang kinalaban ni Graciano Lopez Jaena sa kanyang Fray Botod. At ni Marcelo H. del Pilar sa La Soberania Monacal en Filipinas (Monastic Supremacy in the Philippines),” said Ybiernas.

Ybiernas enjoins the new writers and pen warriors to stand against the modern day Padre Damaso, Padre Salvi and Fray Botod who attempt to restore the influence of the Church in the state affairs.

“Yung totoo, beh? 130 years pagkatapos ng Noli Me Tangere (1887) may mga kagaya pa rin ni Socrates Villegas? Tsk tsk tsk. Dapat ang halimbawa ni Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales ang pamarisan ng sangkaparian, hindi ang palalong si Socrates Villegas.”

Ybiernas cleared out that he doesn’t intend to stop Villegas from expressing his own opinion, but Ybiernas said that it is a different thing if he leads CBCP to butt in the dealings of politics. “Yun ang ayaw ko. Eh di alam na.”

Ybiernas also said that he has nothing against the CBCP if the organization condemns the spread of fake news. Even if, for example, Ybiernas supported the fake news, he said that he has no right to stop anyone from being critical against the fake news.

But what Ybiernas hated was the manner the CBCP, under Villegas’ administration, identifying the news sites (in their opinion) which spreads and fabricates fake news.

At ni Marcelo H. del Pilar sa La Soberania Monacal en Filipinas (Monastic Supremacy in the Philippines).

Yung totoo, beh? 130 years pagkatapos ng Noli Me Tangere (1887) may mga kagaya pa rin ni Socrates Villegas? Tsk tsk tsk...

You crossed the line, Villegas!

Di mo pa rin makita ang lohika? May God have mercy on your soul beshie!

It's only been four months since Senator Leila de Lima was jailed at Camp Crameat the Philippine National Police custodial center in Camp Crame for drug-related case and now, another warrant of arrest have arrived at her doorstep.
Violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, a non-bailable case was issued by Judge Amelia Fabros-Corpuz of the Muntinlupa City Regional Trial Court Branch 205 on June 21.

Senator de Lima along with Jose Adrian Dera also known as Jad De Vera were charged for violating  the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Apparently, the two were involved in the illegal drug trade sometime in March 2016. Dera extoted monay and vehicles from Peter Co, a high-profile drug lord jailed at New Bilibid Prison, for the lady senator's senatorial campaign last May 2016 election.

Peter Co gave P3 million, which were from the proceeds from selling illegal drugs while still in Bilibid, and also four vehicles through Dera for de Lima's campaign.

The senator is detained at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center in Camp Crame for a previous arrest order by Judge Juanita Guerrero of the Muntinlupa RTC Branch 204. However, there is still a pending case before Muntinlupa RTC Branch 206, under Judge Patria Manalastas-De Leon for the senator.

De Lima previously filed a petition at the Supreme Court seeking for the higher court to nullify her first arrest order.

Senator Leila de Lima has three criminal charges filed against her.

First case is Criminal Case Number 17-165 which is handled by Branch 204, one count of violation of Section 5 of the Dangerous Drugs Act, which penalizes the "sale, trading, administration, dispensation, delivery, distribution and transportation of illegal drugs."

De Lima allegedly asked money from the New Bilibid inmates ti fund her senatorial bid n 2016.

Second case is the second count of drug trade which is handled by Branch 206 against De Lima; former BuCor chief Franklin Jesus Bucayu; Bucayu’s former staff, Wilfredo Elli; inmate Jaybee Sebastian; Dayan; De Lima’s former security aide, Joenel Sanchez; and a certain Jad de Vera.

The mentioned inmates allegedy forced to produce P70 million in order to provide funds of Senator Leila de Lima's senatorial campaign.

Third case is Criminal Case Number 17-166, handled by Branch 205, is another count of drug trade against De Lima and De Vera.

As in the other two cases, De Lima allegedly extorted money from Co, who was able to produce P30 million and 4 vehicles which were given to De Lima through De Vera. This allegedly happened in March 2016.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) dismissed the drug charges against inmates Herbert Colanggo, Engelbert Durano, Vicente Sy, Jojo Baligad, and Peter Co because "they will be utilized as prosecution witnesses."

Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) released the list of alleged ‘fake news sites’ on the internet that the netizens must avoid reading.

We are not surprise when CBCP included our website in their list because our writers still remain anonymous, but including Mindanation, a website where the writers are revealing their faces and known for publishing editorial articles is quite surprising to be tagged as ‘fake news site’.

You can notice that most of the websites included by the CBCP are writing good things about the government which they are criticizing because of the policies of the Duterte administration against criminals.

Some of them are really using unverified information, but how about the mainstream media that also using unverified information?

Well, the head of this website is a Catholic and he/she donating thousands of pesos for the Church near his home, but now he might stop contributing for the Church because the priest might not accept money from fake news sites.

The writers of our sites are also reading an article from Wikihow titled “How to Become a LaVeyan Satanist” because since we are already labeled by the Catholic Church as a ‘fake news site’ we are expected to meet Satan instead of St. Peter.

We are planning to change the name of our company, our site and planning to reveal the names of our writers. But we expect that CBCP still labeled us as ‘fake news site’ because most of our articles are critical to the opposition.

We are getting our information from reputable sources on social media, internet and mainstream media. We also remind our writers to include the sources of their information.

Well, that is what our followers want to read?

Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte blasted his enemy, senator Antonio Trillanes for his ’embarrassing’ interview with BBC HARDtalk Stephen Sackur.

Pulong laughed to senator Trillanes which he called ‘senator ugok’ after he watched the interview of senator Trillanes on BBC and he said that the chief critic of President Duterte was a shame.

“Very Very Hard Talk with SenadorUgok. Hahahaha nakakahiya ka BOY” Duterte said.

The Vice Mayor also described the interview as “FACT VS FAKE”

“This is not FAKE interview from FAKE Media,” he added.

Few days ago, senator Trillanes was interviewed by BBC journalist Stephen Sackur in an episode of HARDtalk which became viral on social media.

Netizens didn’t expected that the senator would received hard questions from the host of the show.

After they watched the video, they praised Sackur for researching very well about the current situation of the Philippines before interviewing the chief critic of President Duterte.

The feud between senator Antonio Trillanes IV and Vice Mayor Pulong Duterte started when the critic of President Duterte started to investigate the alleged extrajudicial killings committed by the current administration and the existence of the infamous ‘Davao Death Squad’

Last year, Paolo Duterte claimed that he knew a senator who uses cocaine.

Senator Antonio Trillanes quickly responded to the ‘blind item’ of Duterte and he challenged the Vice Mayor to undergo a ‘comprehensive drug test’

Paolo Duterte accepted the challenge and he chose the most accurate drug test that available in the country called ‘hair follicle drug test’ that could determine seven major drugs even if a person used any of them a few years back.

The results of the drug test showed that the Vice Mayor was clean of amphetamine, methampethamines, cocaine/metabolites, opiates, extended opiates, phencyclidine, THC metabolite, and benzodiazepines.

“His imputations that I was a drug addict were based entirely on a fabricated story by a man whose imagination is as twisted as the senator’s,” Duterte said.

“The results of the comprehensive drug test is enough vindication for me as I was vilified and slandered as they apparently attempted to destroy my father and the entire Duterte family, he added.

But even the drug test challenge ended, Paolo Duterte didn’t stop to attack the senator on his Facebook page.

He is actually power hungry egomaniac and he knows he has dirtied his hands in many things he should not have, but it is too late for him and he is sinking rapidly in a quick sand in the swamp he has created for himself by associating with some very bad and sick people, and now that he is in it he can't get out because they have clung onto him for some reason or another, and he keeps struggling to fix the situation that he has made himself get stuck on, but he is trying to grab on things by hurting Filipinos and the Philippines because he is too afraid to come clean and expose corrupt and criminals he has been dealing with and expose the corrupt and criminal party members in his group and he is relaying on the empty promises or even maybe threats of the foriegn contra affair agents he has been working with.

At least from one angle his behavior and the breadcrumbs trail he has left behind him is the sign that indicates for that, and he is actually not an important player but an expendable trigger player that they have been using to achieve their goals and he is too egocentric and stultified that he has no idea where this whole thing is leading him toward. Once he is at the point of no return, no one of his friends will help him, because he is expendable but he has not realized that or maybe if he knows that already he has decided to sacrifice himself for his ego and his party loyalty. He indicated all that within the short interview he had not being able to navigate the BBC host's interview and spilling the beans without even noticing it. He even did not notice the direction of the interview, and the question on being a "democrat," and that is how little he knows about politics. The interviewer mocking him for his failed coup attempt was another indication on how the interview would end, and that caught him by surprise, because most likely he was instructed or advised to do that interview and he was so much out of tune and out of touch with Filipinos and their global outcry against them as well as out of touch with global dynamics of economy and politics that he could not see what was coming at him. Well, he is burnt on BBC with a very well recognized journalist and TV News Personal, and that is the stain he can not remove that easily.

He and the rest of his political party group members are working so hard to discredit President Duterte and use every opportunity to fabricate news about the government. The latest one of their attempts was their aim to use martial law against him, but it is again back firing at them. Trillanes' political party group are not interested in democracy nor interested in the Filipino people and definitely not interested in law and order and neither are interested in peace and security, because they are the ones that are benefitting from lawlessness, crimes, drugs and corruptions. They are the ones who own the mainstream corporate media and own the majority of the big businesses that provide service to the Filipinos. They are the ones that have been cheating on taxes, embezzling money and selling off the natural resources of the Philippines to fill their own pockets, they are the one who are stealing from the past international aid money and mismanaging resources. The list goes on-and-on on all those crimes and corruptions. They are also the ones who have forced creation of the rebel groups who were sick and tired all the criminalities and corruptions their party have had created in past three decades. Trillness is one of the characters that is involved in all that, and now that the overwhelming majority of the people of the Philippines democratically elected someone that is not part of their group, they are doing everything to destroy DU30 and destroy his accomplishments.

The question remains is so simple - if they are so clean why they are so afraid of all the reforms and transparencies and regulations that President Duterte's government pushing forward? Only the guilty, criminal minded and corrupt people do not like what the Duterte administration is doing.

The people like Trillanes and the rest of those corrupt and criminals in his group of friend use semantics, lies and secret deals and they fabricate news. He in his interview with BBC used a larger numbers than previously indicated a month ago by his friends in corporate "made up" news groups. How can a senator not know the exact numbers and do the same way of news fabrication like gossip magazines do on international news agency such as BBC?! There must be a law against fabricating news by a senator, right? If there is such law, than his stupidity has already violated that law and added to his existing crimes.

And if this news article is true about him wanting to sue BBC for putting him on spot, oh well, if he does n't like getting the heat from being under the spotlight, maybe he should avoid chasing his own tail and biting on it so often!

Senator Antonio Trillanes IV was interviewed by Stephen Sackur at BBC’s HARDtalk and shared his thoughts about President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration.

Trillanes, a known critic of Duterte, criticized the current administration’s policy especially his war against illegal drugs that allegedly killed thousands of drug addicts and pushers.

Sackur asked Trillanes if he can confirm that the public chose Duterte as their President because of the illegal drug problem in the Philippines.

“Isn’t the truth senator Trillanes, that the Filipino public elected Duterte to the presidency because they wanted a tough guy, they wanted a guy who can impose order in the Philippines, if one looks back in the situation of the Philippines when he took over the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency stated last year that 92% of the districts in Manila for example where affected by drugs, the overwhelming drug choice is being crystal meth” Sackur said.

The TV Host also said that the increasing crime rate because of illegal drugs was the reason why the people chosen President Duterte who said that he’s the one who can solve the problem.

Trillanes explained that President Rodrigo Duterte ‘created his own crisis’ and he explained that despite of having 98% affected places in Metro Manila, the whole country only have “27% of the barangays” affected by illegal drugs.

He also claimed that only 1.8% of the whole population in the Philippines were addicted to illegal drugs and most of them are using ‘marijuana’.

“In terms of national statistics, we only have 1.8% of the population that has used illegal drugs, most of it are Marijuana compared to the global average of 5% so in fact our drug problem is not as bad as it seems” Trillanes said.

Trillanes statistics that he shared to the international media was different to the statistics claimed by the Duterte administration which showed that there are almost four million addicts to crystal meth also known as Shabu in the Philippines.

According to Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), Methamphetamine Hydrochloride (shabu) remains to be the most abused illegal drugs in the Philippines.

The senator also said that illegal drugs must not be prioritized by the government.

“While we agree that it should be address, but it is not the primary or the only problem in our country,” Trillanes said.

Since President Rodrigo Duterte became the leader of the Philippines, senator Trillanes together with his allies from Liberal Party criticized the current administration’s war on drugs and it’s alleged human rights abuses.

During the election period, problem on illegal drugs became the main topic of the netizens which they believe that became the cause of many heinous crimes in the Philippines.

Most Filipinos believe that illegal drugs destroyed the brain of it’s user, but Professor Carl Hart from Columbia University and U.N Special Rapporteur Agnes Callamard claimed that it’s only a hoax.

It’s reportedly that Shabu industry in the Philippines valued at P250 billion annually.

According to PDEA. from 2010 to 2015, there are 623 government officials and employees arrested for drug possession and the Duterte administration released a thick list of government officials who allegedly involved in illegal drug business that included five Philippine National Police generals.

From July 1, 2016 – May 9, 2017, there are 1,266,966 self-confessed drug addicts surrendered to the authorities, 72,812 were arrested and 2,949 were killed during anti-drug operations.

Dionisia Pacquiao, the house wife-turned-celebrity mother of Pambansang Kamao Manny Pacquiao, has sold more than a dozen jewelries and signature bags in an effort to raise funds for Marawi victims, a relative close to the Pacquiao’s told Pinoy Pride on Friday.

The source said Mommy Dionisia sold her collection of bags to rich women in Sarangani, raising at least P1.3 million.

Her jewelries, which include 3 necklaces, 3 bracelets, 5 watches, and several rings and earrings worth more than 3 million pesos – all taken by only one buyer from Davao City.

Most of her bags were given by her son Manny as pasalubong whenever the later went to other countries.

When asked why she sold her precious things instead of spending her cash, Dionisia said she is already old and have no time to use the bags and jewelries, so it’s better to sell and help other people.

There will be no one to inherit the precious collection as well, as her daughter Isidra is not interested to own the collection.

Manny, Dionisia’s son is also set to donate his earnings from fight with Jeff Horn this coming July.

MANILA, Philippines  –  Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa said he is a descendant of Jose Rizal and inherited the national hero’s love for the country.

Dela Rosa made the claim when he graced the 156th birth anniversary of Dr. Jose Rizal in Calamba, Laguna on Monday, June 19.

“Kung mag-research ka makita ninyo sa kanilang family tree, sa mother side isa sa mga lola niya Ines dela Rosa kaya ‘yun ang kina-capitalize ko na kine-claim ko na descendant ako ni Jose Rizal,” Dela Rosa told reporters.

[If you’ll make some research, you will find in Rizal’s family tree one of his great grandmothers named Ines Dela Rosa, so I’m capitalizing on that for my claim that I’m a descendant of Jose Rizal.]

The PNP chief narrated it was during a field trip in Dapitan back when he was still in high school when he discovered records of Rizal’s family tree and found one Ines Dela Rosa.

This make him proud being a Dela Rosa himself, he said, with his surname being attached to the national hero.

When asked what qualities of Rizal he possibly inherited, Dela Rosa said it would be the hero’s love for the country.

“I can proudly say ‘yung pagmamahal sa bayan. Mahal na mahal ko ang bayang Pilipinas na I’m willing to die for this country. Siguro ‘yun ang namana ko sa aking ninuno,” the PNP chief said.

[I can proudly say it would be the love for the country. I love the Philippines so much that I’m willing to die for this country. Maybe that’s what I inherited from my ancestors.]

During the ceremony, Dela Rosa laid a wreath at the foot of Rizal’s statue.

Calamba Mayor Justin Chipeco later said they decided to invite the PNP chief after finding out the latter was related by blood to the Rizal family to some degree.

Former Defense Secretary Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro Jr. has defended the airstrikes conducted by the Philippine Air Force against Maute Terrorist in Marawi City.

In his statement published on Facebook, Gibo explained why airstrikes are necessary to destroy the Maute Terrorist Group.

According to Teodoro, the action of the military is a good strategy ‘not only to neutralize targets’ but also to protect the troops in the ground.

“It also helps to end engagements quicker rather than prolonging fighting. It is a legitimate tool at the disposal of government forces when the engagement commander determines that its use is appropriate and reasonable given the level of the threat faced,” Gibo Teodoro said.

He said that properties can surely be damaged by airstrikes, but the life of the soldiers battling the Maute Terrorist Group are more important than buildings that can be rebuild.

“Damage to property is an unfortunate consequence not only of airstrikes but of any weapon, yet we must ask what piece of property is worth the life of a single soldier?” He said.

Gibo Teodoro urged the public to not condemn the actions of the military, but condemn the violence committed by the Maute Terrorist group.

“On the other hand the real menace is the fact that the Maute gang takes refuge in dwellings and other urban locations, use rocket propelled grenades without regard to surroundings, ieds, snipe at civilians, rob, pillage, murder, and terrorize! This is the threat faced. This is what must be condemned!” He said.

Several netizens and Marawi residents opposed the airstrikes conducted by the Philippine government against the Maute Terrorist group because of being afraid that their home were among the houses that destroyed by the airstrikes.

President Duterte offered the position as Defense Secretary to Gibo Teodoro, but the former secretary of defense refused the offer two times.

Duterte believes that Teodoro refused to make a comeback in DND due to bad experience in government.

As of writing, there are 58 soldiers killed in action since the Marawi City Crisis started. The government wanted to liberate southern city before the independence day.

Davao City mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio reacted on the latest statement of Senator Risa Hontiveros against her.

On her Facebook account, Inday Sara denied that she accused senator Risa Hontiveros of ‘abetting rebellion’ but a ‘malicious question to ignite’ the Department of Justice.

Inday Sara told Hontiveros that it seems that the lady senator forgot that there’s a question mark in her post on Thursday.

“Senator Hontiveros, why was the question mark inved if it will not serve a purpose in sentence construction?” Inday Sara said in her statement.

The Davao City mayor also blasted the lady senator and said that it’s not her fault if Hontiveros didn’t think carefully before answering her answer during the interview with Kuya Daniel Razon on Tuesday.

“Hindi ko kasalanan na hindi mo pinag isipan ng maayos ang sagot sa interview mo,” she said

Inday Sara also have a question to senator Hontiveros.

“Now, is your question really a question about my question or you just want to start a word war?”  She added.

On Tuesday, senator Risa Hontiveros during an interview with Daniel Razon, explained why the Marawi Crisis cannot be considered as ‘Rebellion’ or ‘Invasion’

“Strictly speaking, hindi yan rebellion ng Marawi, infact kapag tinanong mo yung ibang mamamayan sa Marawi ayaw nila sa Maute hindi sila yung nag re-rebel against the national government,” Senator Hontiveros told Razon.

The statement of Hontiveros during the interview sparked outrage from the Duterte supporters and accused her of supporting the side of the terrorist.

A fake image, quoting the senator of urging the people to make the Maute terrorist as an inspiration circulated on the internet.

On Thursday, Inday Sara watched the interview of Risa Hontiveros and asked the DOJ if the lady senator abetting rebellion.

“Question lang sa DOJ, kung rebellion ang crime and this woman [Hontiveros] is saying it is not rebellion, are her words encouraging them to commit the crime? And so it becomes abetting rebellion? She works for the government that the terrorists are fighting… paki explain beh. Wala gyud ko kasabot[hindi ko talaga maintindihan]” Inday Sara wrote on Thursday.

On the Saturday, senator Risa Hontiveros released a statement about the post of the Davao City mayor on Thursday, and asked a question to the DOJ and her followers if the lady senator ‘abetting rebellion’

“This is the same tactic used by the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos against democracy defenders like Soc Rodrigo, Lorenzo Tanada and Ka Pepe Diokno,” Hontiveros said in a statement on Saturday.

“I am saddened by the news that Mayor Inday Sara that Mayor Inday Sara Duterte accuses me of such. The Mayor and I have been friendly acquaintances for some years, and I respect her as a fellow woman leader” she added.
