According to Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel, there is a big chance that Vice President Leni Robredo will be impeached by the House of Representatives.

"This has a chance of passing the [House of Representatives], malaki ang tsansa," Pimentel said.

Senate president said the complaint needs only at least 100 votes of House members and Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez has the solid support of at least 230 congressmen.

"'Pag ginamit ang imagination sa political, kung si Speaker Alvarez ang magli-lead [ng impeachment laban kay Robredo], ilan ang followers niyan? Two hundred thirty. So 100 ang kailangan doon na suportahan siya doon, so lulusot iyon," Pimentel said.

"Pagdating sa possible impeachment ni VP Robredo mabuti pa kaming mga senador, no comment kasi nga sa aking political assessment may chance talaga na lumusot iyan, given the number," he added.

Meanwhile, Solicitor General Jose Calida said that Leni Robredo should be impeached because her "palit-ulo" video statement played during a United Nations (UN) forum was "treasonous."

Interior and Local Government Assistant Secretary Epimaco Densing and volunteer lawyers also willing to provide help in pursuing Leni’s impeachment.

Magdalo member Senator Antonio Trillanes denied Robredo's supposed role in the impeachment move against President Duterte.

"Wala siyang kinalaman dito. Ito magdalo ang gumawa nito. Inisyatibo ito at aksyon ng Magdalo... Wala hong nasa likod namin, kami lang ito," he said.

Senator Trillanes said the Duterte’s allies should not be overconfident because "a lot of things may happen within the next month."

Paula Defensor-Knack, expert of Public International Law, International Criminal Law, International Humanitarian Law, Human Rights Law, Oceans Law and Policy, Peace and Security explained that our country should not about International Criminal Court (ICC).

Knack is the late sister of Miriam Defensor-Santiago who was a senator and also an expert of the same field.

MY LEGAL OPINION ON THE THREAT OF AN ICC CASE : REASONS WHY THE COUNTRY SHOULD NOT WORRY.

I am wondering whats the big fuss about Matobato’s lawyer filing a complaint before the ICC. Thousands of letter complaints are filed and we never heard of them again. The tribunal cant hear all and has no money. On the contrary, it has taken a loan. It has also gone through several waves of retrenchment.

First, Are they are sure the Prosecutor will file charges based on the obvious money-fueled testimony of an assassin for hire?

Why don’t we write ICC Prosecutor Bensouda and the ICC judges instead not to intervene in Philippine affairs because THEY ARE SIDING WITH THE waning OPPOSITION WHICH WANTS TO OVERTHROW A LEGAL HEAD OF STATE in violation of the Constitution.

The history of the tribunal is one of injustice to African states. How many white heads of states have been convicted anyway ? ZERO. It is now faced with threats of withdrawal by South Africa and several others. We have seen the chaotic jurisprudence of this tribunal and the accusations of witness coaching by intermediaries, the focus on destroyed stones and monuments while neglecting the persecution of an ethnic group , and the WTH neglect of sexual violence !

Second, the ICC has no jurisdiction due to complementarity and the difficulty posed by immunities of heads of states in customary international law which is often in the Constitutions of states. Is it legal for a tribunal to intervene in a country where there are pending charges against both accuser and accused for the same subject?

Al Bashir, the President of Sudan, who has a longstanding warrant of arrest is freely travelling to African countries in broad daylight and no one is even taking him in custody ! Duterte pa ? He is loved in the streets, all the way to the mountains. He has a popularity of 70-80%. He is my friend, he is our president and we must defend him because instability in the country hurts everyone who has a brain. Some people want economic growth but are doing everything to destroy the country. How ludicrous and shortsighted.

I thank Duterte for disciplining taxi drivers at the international airport out of fear that he might order their arrests for holding up innocent tourists or duping them out of their precious travel money and for the first time, the toilets in the international airport now have running water and paper towel. The only airport that used to look it was devastated by war – no water in the closet, no paper, but there is water flowing on the floor. Go figure.

Third, a situation is not a case in International Criminal Law and preliminary examination is not the same as preliminary investigation. A preliminary examination can be a table survey of which letter complaint among thousands shall be read first. And the Prosecutor must scale piles.

Fourth Who will gain from publicity of a case in the ICC ? Not the Philippines but individuals with vested interests for a short time until their plunder and corruption cases go to trial. This is one area that needs improvement in our criminal justice system. LETS GIVE THEM THEIR DAY IN COURT NOW. Otherwise, let heads roll ! EAch time a head of state is elected, immediately another group is plotting to grab power ! There is no end to power grabbing anymore in this country.

Fifth, it highlights a reality - the intervention of the ICC cannot bring peace between warring groups in a state if the tribunal sides with 1 group in a chaotic corrupt society, which has been the result of removing individuals from their jurisdictions and bringing them to face trial at the ICC. It did not bring peace to those countries. We can talk lengthily about the cases from Africa and rough justice or the shadows of complementarity. So why pick on the Philippines ? The intervention of a foreign tribunal will only prove a roadblock to peace and stability in the country and the ICC is already facing criticism for favoring 1 group over another in African states. There are cases of crimes against humanity against the most powerful countries of the world and complaints have been filed against heads of states engaged in a series of wars in some jurisdictions.

Will we ignore that ?

Let Duterte finish his term in peace and then let him defend himself if a case for impeachment prospers. As to other officials, our courts are functioning. In all the opposition's press releases to foreign media, they never mention that the courts are functioning and willing to try any case filed before them. If a lower court issues an unfavorable decision, there are appellate courts with justices appointed by the previous administration. So why run to a foreign country ? I thought you dont want foreign intervention. But here you are, running to a foreign country and reporting there. How immature ! You are like cry babies looking for a nanny from people who dont know your country and dont know your culture.

Much is expected from this President. He has much work with the peace agreement with the Reds, another peace agreement in war-torn Mindanao, cries of justice among both victims and believers of Martial Law, the disillusionment with EDSA and the corruption it brought, and the many pending cases on plunder. The peace agreements alone are being watched by foreign governments because terrorism is in our shores. Doesn't that bother the opposition ? You want terrorists to triumph in our country ?

Only a Filipino can bring peace to the Philippines. Not a tribunal perceived to favor rich countries. And if ever they choose the Philippines we are just here at The Hague and we will defend the President. He IS the lawful head of state and he is not even 1 year in office. If Duterte cant come up with a peace agreement, no one else will. After all, he is from Mindanao and he is our only hope for a PEACE AGREEMENT in a conflict that has spun centuries.

Sen. Miriam said we have no sense of shared destiny. Let that ring loud and clear to both government officials and citizens. WE MUST HAVE A BRAIN when it comes to saying whats best for the country. Anyone who speaks must know whether they speak for the majority or not. If the people have spoken, the opposition's turn comes in the next elections. If you are discontented, the courts are there and functioning and dont tell me the opposition didnt use them as it suited them when they were in power. So instead of spreading fear and an atmosphere of instability, gather your evidence and go to local courts. Many of those judges were appointed by previous administrations. Those who spread fear cannot convice the majority with facts. It is a comic representation of Armageddon because no one has seen it.

Senator Richard Gordon in a radio interview has a piece of advice to Vice President Leni Robredo, saying that if your moral sense is not on the same side as President Duterte, then you should resign.

“Kung ikaw ay cabinet member you have to side with the president kung hindi mo na kaya na mag-side sa pangulo at ng prinsipyo mo, you resign,” Gordon said.

“Yun ang mangyayari kasi you are the President, cabinet kasama kayo, kapag ikaw ay kokontra at hindi na kayo magka-igihan ng president you resign or the president fires you,” he added.

President Duterte earlier ordered the hero’s burial for late president Ferdinand Marcos. But Vice President Robredo is one among those opposed over Marcos burial at the hero’s cemetery.

“I’ve been fighting this all my life yung partido natin wala eh, nanalo si Duterte. Ang daming liberal nung araw nung manalo na si Duterte lahat lumipat. ganyan naman na nung araw pa, lipatan nang lipatan.” Gordon said.

“Yung panawagan na mag resign that is a call to conscience kung may conscience sila, yun talagang position nila they must follow their conscience but I’m not going to force them because maari sa kanila strategically it is a good alliance for them, di ba.

“Kung talagang hindi nila ma take yun they should resign. Kung mate-take nila they should stay,” he said.

Updated as of March 18, 2017 -- In an interview with EIR Asia expert Mike Billington regarding President Rodrigo Duterte's war on drugs, Virginia State Senator Richard Black said that the Americans and other nations should not intervene and respect the Filipino culture because Filipinos know more of what their own country needs.

Black also claimed that the Americans have a tendency to impose their supposed "higher intellect" on other cultures.

US Senator: US should respect President Duterte and Filipino culture

Black was a chief  in the criminal law division in the  Pentagon.

The senator stated that Dutere was once mayor in a lawless city and he was ruthless to criminals, therefore bringing law and order into the city.

That's why he said that majority of Filipinos voted for him.

"The people of the Philippines elected Rodrigo Duterte since they wanted law and order, and he gave it to them. They have chosen a very strong ruler."

He also mentioned that the United States had a war on drugs but it was immediately eradicated by politicians and now the drug situations is worse.

In dealing with drugs, the US should get inspiration from the Philippines where the president viewed it as a war and not just a police action, as their situation on drug trade is getting worse.

In the declaration of Duterte to separate PH from the US, Black said that US is to blame as the government should have dealt with PH in  a more sensitive fashion.

He said the Chinese offered assistance, while the US offered condemnation.

"It would be a shame to lose our alliance with the Philippines" the senator said.

Our system of government cannot help us. It works against us. It cannot be harnessed to achieve real change. It is manipulated by the political opposition to prevent President Rodrigo Duterte from accomplishing his job. It is being used to oust him.
The only way to bring order in our political system and be able to pursue a real change in our country is through a revolutionary government.

In an exclusive Rappler interview, The Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said the world can learn from the unprecedented electoral victory of President Rodrigo Duterte, who vowed to eliminate day to day problems such as crime and traffic in the Philippines.

"I think that President Duterte was responding to the concerns of the people of the Philippines, and the lesson for politicians around the world is to tap into the concerns, particularly of those who feel left behind by globalization, those who have been affected by the disruption of technologies, and those who fear change." Bishop said.

"And we're seeing the consequences of that around the world, whether it's Brexit, the US presidential election, or even here in the Philippines. But we're also seeing outcomes in elections in Europe, so I think it's a phenomenon that will be with us for some time," Bishop added.

Julie Bishop then described these times as "uncertain" and "restless", and said elected officials "have to respond to those concerns."

According to Bishop, people need to share the fruits of globalization “more equitably”.

"I think that is the challenge facing governments around the world, that while globalization and economic integration, economic competition, have undoubted benefits, more people need to share in those benefits," Australia's top diplomat said.

She also stressed the threat of terrorism, particularly from the Islamic State (ISIS).

"We are deeply concerned about ISIS and other terrorist organizations that carry out such violent attacks on civilians and innocent people," she said.

She said Australia is working "very closely" with the Philippines, as well as Indonesia and Malaysia, against terrorism, "to ensure that we share information, intelligence, law enforcement and security and defense, and border protection."

Watch the video below:

Vice-President Leni Robredo is not under any criminal indictment. At the moment, she is free to speak and to express her opinions on any matter and issue. Her mobility within and without the country is neither stifled nor absolutely prohibited. She has been and still is a free citizen of this country.

This country is under a de jure government. Its administration is functioning in Constitutional normalcy. The Legislature is in tact. The Judiciary is up and independent. Martial Law is not in effect.

WHY THEN IS LENI ROBREDO SPEAKING TO INTERNATIONAL MEDIA AND TRIBUNALS ABOUT THIS COUNTRY AND THIS GOVERNMENT AS IF IT WERE A NATION RULED BY IDI AMIN OR MUAMMAR GADDAFI, AND AS IF SHE WERE AUNG SAN SUU KYI?

She can go to all sorts of legal forums, courts and processes within the jurisdiction of this country. The laws are available to her for the redress of whatever are her problems and complaints. The mainstream media are in fact on her side. So why speak to other nations in mountains and mountains of lies?

Silence.

Ah, the resort of the intellectually inept and the ethically impoverished.

The people's answer is a resounding this:

The resort to international forums and the ICC to seek international intervention in the affairs of a Sovereign State under a de jure government serves no other legal purpose than to malign, misrepresent and destroy the image and reputation of the nation and its citizens in the eyes of the international community. It is egotistically manipulative. It reeks of the intentional misrepresentation of verifiable facts and the concealment of material truth. And all for no legally viable objective or excuse but to effect an international interventionist regime change in a country existing under LAW.

It is time for her to go.

An Open Letter to International Media
by Dane Christian Pido Morena

"To those of you who are relentlessly attacking, condemning, mocking, and portraying our President Rodrigo Duterte as a heartless mass murderer—

STOP.

The war he waged is not against humanity. It is a war against illegal drugs and criminality to consequently protect humanity. Understand the difference.

KNOW THE MAN.

LISTEN to the millions of Filipinos who have witnessed and have gone tired of all the injustice, incompetence, extreme inequality, and increased crimes due to poverty & narco-politics most prevalent during the previous administration.

FIND OUT why millions of Filipinos worldwide are out to defend this leader which has been the subject of your unjust & ill-informed news and opinions.

SEE the smile on our faces.

FEEL the hope in our hearts.

That, at last, we’ve found a genuine leader who truly cares for the people—a leader unbound, unafraid, and uncompromised.

That, at last, we have a leader who’s truly determined to protect the good and the law abiding citizens—a leader who’s bold enough to fight the organized crime syndicates and crush narcopolitics.

For the first time in the history of our country, we have a true patriot for a President—one who is willing to kill or be killed for the good of our country, for the benefit of our children and our children’s children.

DO NOT KILL US WITH YOUR IGNORANCE & BIASES.

DO NOT KILL OUR HOPES. Do not take away this hope. Not this time. Not from the millions of Filipinos who were abused and taken for granted for so long and who have found their voice in this new leader.

Do not kill our chance to rebuild our nation and provide a safer and brighter future for the next generation.
STOP."

Malou Tiquia, a political expert and former campaign strategist for Vice President Leni Robredo threw criticims at her after the VP delivered a message to the United Nations where she reported on the country's status quo with the ongoing operations for President Rodrigo Duterte's drug war.

Former campaign strategist of Robredo now denounces her for 'shooting down PH'

"That statement on palit ulo and the video produced are truly bothersome because, lies were peddled, lies will be shown in an international forum on human rights and said by a sitting Vice President, hitting directly the incumbent, PRRD," Tiquia said.

She said not only did Robredo shoot the Philippine National Police with men and women struggling because of internal conflicts, she also shot the country "for gold".

She said Robredo has not even given any real programs for solutions.

"I never thought that the crown was so important to you that you are willing to peddle a story without proof. So "palit ulo" is the new word to the frame what you yourself kept saying, "culture of impunity, hate and anger," she said.

Tiquia said that is she truly saddened that Robredo lacked respect for institutions, even saying that Robredo's late husband Jesse despite hardships never attacked but simply worked.

"You want the presidency? Get it, grab it, burn it...but we will stand, build a wall around it, hold it strong until you and your power hungry group realize that the only way to go is red," she said.

"When you shoot my country down, I will take an issue on the lies, chicanery and the propaganda you spew. You caused your being boxed in. You only have yourself to blame and probably the core around you who continually pulls you away from your base and the promise of being," she said.

A former Filipino United Nations General Assembly delegate filed an appeal to the United Nations to disregard the message of Vice President Leni Robredo on the war on drug movement of the present administration.

Using his Facebook, Michael Francis Acebedo Lopez went live on March 17 midnight to present his written appeal before the UN.

Recalling a mandate, Lopez shared his appeal was based from legal bases provided by the UN.

"I am making this urgent appeal on behalf of each and every Filipino grossly misinterpreted by our VP in said video message. For her to say that our people feel both hopeless and helpless is a brazen lie. Confidence in the presidency is at an all time high as a people, we feel hopeful and empowered like we've never been before," Lopez said.

This man also said he is firm that the LP has something to do with the message Leni has given.

"She fails to mention that this is set against the backdrop of around 700,000 to one million successful arrests and surrenders. So the figure she presents to you is not even one percent. But exaggerating things does not help at all," he added.

Lopez also urged the people to cross check every information they heard from the VP and to be more vigilant in the face of threats to our democracy.

Saad niya, “Honestly, yeah, yes!

“And we want that for our country, di ba?”

“Hindi naman yung kasi gobyerno or kasi iyon yung opinyon ko, it’s not that, e. It’s you want to have a safe country, di ba?

IMPEACH THE VP, IF SHE IS IN THE FIRST PLACE THE DULY-ELECTED VP
by Professor Epimaco Densing III

Yesterday, our very own VP (though her election is still questionable), Leni Robredo, posted a video message which was intended to be shown today in the Annual meeting of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs in Vienna, Austria. She claimed of a "palit-ulo" scheme being done by the PNP and again mentioned the 7,000+ casualties in our government's anti-illegal drugs campaign. The claims are both untrue and unverified.

'IMPEACH THE VP, what she did is an ECONOMIC SABOTAGE' says Ateneo Graduate School of Business Professor

She, being part of the government, should have asked the proper government agencies to verify her claims. The "palit-ulo" is an intelligence strategy to get information from small fish to catch the bigger fish in criminal activities. On the otherhand, of the 7,000+ deaths recorded by the PNP, only 2,500+ were deaths during police operations and on the balance, only 1/3 are related to the drug trade and the 2/3 due to various and unknown reasons which include among others grudge, riding in tandem, altercations and other reasons other than drugs.

They've not mentioned that there were more than 1.1 Million surrenderers, including 80k pushers, and 48k arrests. The issue of illegal drugs is both an issue of law enforcement, as crimes have been committed due to drug use and trade, and rehabilitation. Both are being addressed by the current administration. I should know as I am privy to the information from the PNP and implementation of the drug rehabilitation program.

What she has done should be the last straw. The VP and the rest of the opposition LP have been trying to destabilize our country by false propaganda via international media. They know for a fact that they have lost credibility among majority of the Filipinos. Their unverified allegations of human rights violations and so-called "ejk" which is non-existent has already taken its toll. We have lost a $434 Million (P20 Billion) grant from the Millennium Challeneg Corp which we could have been used for our anti-poverty programs; the European Union have threatened that we could lose at least 27 trade agreements because of alleged human rights issues (embedded in the trade agreements); and with her video message, without verification and challenge, could affect again our relationship with members of the UN. What she and her cohorts have been doing is tantamount to ECONOMIC SABOTAGE.

It's time for the majority of the Filipinos to fight back and gain back our integrity from destabilizers.

Section 2 Article XI must be invoked against a pretentious VP in Leni Robredo. She should be impeached for continuously attempting to sabotage our economy constituting "betrayal of public trust"!

Impeach Leni Robredo!!

In an article by Homobono Adaza, the prominent lawyer said that the Philippines is now under the leadership of a powerful man who came just in time.

Adaza, a loud critique of Duterte during the election campaigns said that he takes back all of the bad he has written about the man. “Only fools don’t change their minds and I’m no fool.”, he said.

“When I first heard that DD was running for president, I thought it was a joke. When I heard many things from his undisciplined mouth during the campaign, I thought the joker was wild and he was a fraud.”

But the man claims these things no longer hold true. Duterte is serious about national reforms. His intensity and no regard for formality of language “can be excused”, because they are insignificant in comparison with his noble objectives.

Adaza says that more than any president after Marcos, Duterte has shaken the foundations of the Filipino’s traditional views and institutions.
However, not everything is gold in the current administration. Adaza says that extra-judicial killings should not be tolerated, and are not an acceptable manner of giving justice. One cannot proclaim with the left hand that he loves the poor and powerless and kills them with his right hand. It is an unacceptable contradiction – one must choose one or the other.

The man is a revolution.

Adaza claims that the clash of Duterte and Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno has many possibilities for a constitutional crisis. The fact that Sereno came from UP College of Law meant that she probably had no intention of insulting the president in her letter telling him that the judges he claimed to be involved in illegal drug trade should answer to the SC.

But Duterte is also no illiterate when it comes to the law. He is right in saying that since these people are investigated for violations of crime, they should be investigated by government agencies and the police.

Today’s judges should also answer to the law.

“CJ Sereno should take this in mind and in stride. She should know now we have a President who knows his onions and has the balls to do what he threatens to do.”

Adaza also believes that Martial Law would be a mistake. It did not work well for Ferdinand Marcos before, it will not work today.

“More than during the time of Marcos, Martial Law now has constitutional limits that make the President beholden to Congress – congressmen and senators, many of whom deserve to be in jail or executed, if the death penalty is restored. The President is not only beholden to Congress but also to the Supreme Court.”

“Declaration of Martial Law is not the solution to the problems of drugs, graft and corruption, the oligarchs, the senators and congressmen, the justices and judges, the crooks and corrupt, the criminals, foreign interference and what have you.”

What he suggests however, is a revolutionary government or a constitutional transition government. This he says would allow the government to get rid of all impediments presented by drug lords, economic saboteurs, criminals, and even government leaders.

“PDU30 was correct when he declared during the campaign that the moment he gets to be President he will declare and organize a revolutionary government. He became President but he has retreated from this commitment. I was greatly disappointed. Maybe he has not forgotten. Maybe he is biding his time. But he cannot wait too long. The opportunity is here. He must grab it by the forelock. The time is now so as not to give the counter-revolutionaries a chance to regroup and make their move first.” MJM
