Atty. Darwin Canete unearthed an old issue hurled by fellow lawter Rico Quicho against Senator Antonio Trillanes IV that remains unanswered until today by the senator.


Worse, the senator allegedly made threats against the lawyer within the earshot of senate reporters who told him about it.

The questions thrown by Atty. Quicho is related to the issue regarding the senators bloated payroll that made him 2013 top spender among senators.

“Sabi nga ng isang magaling na komedyante no’n, explain before you complain,” Quicho said.

Quicho said to his knowledge as a lawyer, the giving of money by a person to a relative is considered a donation. And any donation above P500,000 is subject to donor's tax.

“Ako ho bilang abogado, ang pagkakaalam ko ho kasi, pagka nagbibigay ka ng pera sa relative mo, donation ‘yon e. So may donor’s tax ‘yan. Any donation over and above P500,000 should be subject to donor’s tax,” he said.

“Ang tanong, Senator Trillanes, tama po ba si Atty. Quicho na may financial assistance kayo from a relative? Sino ho itong relative ninyo? Nagbayad ho ba ito ng tamang buwis? At bakit ho kayo binibigyan? Senador na ho kayo, mayroon na ho kayong sariling income, humihingi pa ba kayo ng ayuda sa kapamilya ninyo?” Quicho added.


Quicho also slammed Trillanes for resorting to harassment and intimidation instead of explaining the issues being leveled against him.

‘Eto po ‘yong mga kinakailangang sagutin at pangatawanan ninyo. Hindi ‘yong [may[ issue tayo dito [tapos] tatakutin n’yo ho kami,” he said.

“Ngayon, sasabihin ni Senator Trillanes paranoid [ako]. Paano ho ako magiging paranoid, mga kasamahan n’yo na rin ho ‘yong mga senate reporters, mismong sila ho narinig nila [‘yong banta n’yo]. Ano ho ‘yong paranoia do’n e factual naman ho ‘yon,” he added.

Trillanes threatened that he would order his consultants to put Quicho under surveillance after the latter asked Trillanes to be investigated by the Senate ethics committee for including his alleged house help in his list of consultants. The house help was reportedly being paid P3,500 a month.

Moreover, Quicho asked Trillanes to explain the qualifications of three of his consultants.

“Sino ho ba si Sonny Madarang? Ang pagkakaalam ko po, itong si Sonny Madarang ay enlisted personnel pa rin po ito ng Philippine Navy. At tumatanggap na ho siya ng suweldo do’n, binabayaran n’yo pa ho siya as consultant ng P71,000,” Quicho said.

“Itong P71,000 po na ‘to, pag titingnan n’yo ‘to, suweldo na po ito ng colonel. Suweldo na po itong colonel, at ito pong si Sonny Madarang, ito po ay sarhento,” he added.

“Pangalawa, Senator Trillanes, sino ho ba si Jaime Torato? Ang pagkakaalam ko ho, ito ho ay ama ng isang kasamahan n’yo diyan sa Magdalo. Ano ho ang qualification niya at binabayaran natin, mga kababayan, ng P71,000 kada buwan?”

Torato is allegedly the father of Andy Torato, who was dismissed from service by the Armed Forces of the Philippines after pleading guilty to conduct unbecoming of an officer and gentleman in connection with his involvement in the 2003 Oakwood mutiny.

“Panghuli, sino ho ba itong si Segundino Orfiano? Ang pagkakaalam ko ho ay ito ay dating Air Force at kasama rin ho ito ni Senator Trillanes sa mga activities niya before. Ano ho ang qualification?” Quicho asked.

“Isa pa, si brother n’yo po, Senator Trillanes. Ano pong qualification niya? Ano ho ang accomplishment niya para bayaran ho namin siya ng P71,000 a month? Sagutin n’yo po ‘yan. Huwag po tayo sa takutan,” he added.

Senate sources say Orfiano is one of many Trillanes security staff who roam the Senate session hall during the hearings of the Senate Blue Ribbon Subcommittee.

2016 Senatorial Candidate Greco Belgica slammed Senator Antonio Trillanes IV for accusing President Rodrigo Duterte having millions of pesos in his bank account.



Belgica said Trillanes was one of those who benifited from corruption of DAP during the time of former President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino.

He said that DAP funds went through Trillanes during the impeachment of former Chief Justice Corona.

News anchor and broadcaster, Erwin Tulfo refused to apologize to Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.

"Sorry is not an option. Sasapatusin ko yung mukha niyan, tatamaan yung mukha niya," Tulfo said.

"Kung sa senado mababait yung mga kasama nya, si Senador Pacquiao hindi siya inupakan dahil Pastor na. Si Senador Migs Zubiri hindi, eh nakakita siya ng katapat," Tulfo added.

Guillermina “Mina” Barrido Arcilla revealed that,the camp of senator Antonio Trillanes IV allegedly wanted her to name President Rodrigo Duterte,and Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo “Pulong” Duterte in cocaine trade.

In an interview with Erwin Tulfo in his,radio program in Radyo Singko, Mina claimed that the camp of senator Trillanes wanted to involve the,name of the Duterte in illegal drug trade to destroy his anti-illegal drug image.


Mina said that the camp of senator Trillanes,wanted her to pin down Duterte in cocaine trade so the people will think that the President only hates,methamphetamine or shabu because he wanted to grow his cocaine trade business in the Philippines.

She shared in the radio program some,of the parts of the affidavit that sent to her by Attorney Jude Sabio, the lawyer of Edgar Matobato.

Mina was allegedly instructed by the,lawyer to claim that she saw President Rodrigo Duterte using cocaine and doing,an illegal drug transaction.

“Nakita ko si Rodrigo Duterte, tumikim,at nag thumbs up ng droga na cocaine,” Mina said while reading the,affidavit sent to her via email.

She also instructed to involve the,presidential son and Davao City vice mayor Paolo Duterte in cocaine trade by claiming that she,saw him in Sasa Port Custom office several times, doing illegal drug trade.

Mina told Tulfo that she’s ready,to face the senate to testify against Senator Trillanes.

Senator Manny Pacquiao also said,that on May, he’s going to meet the ethics committee to discuss the possible violation,committed by Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.

For someone who has been ridiculed and,accused of being an ‘immoral’ woman because of her alleged relationship with several men, Senator,Leila De Lima could only sympathize with Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez’s predicament.

Alvarez has been criticized after admitting,to having a girlfriend despite being still legally married to his wife. His extramarital affair was,brought to light following his public spat with erstwhile buddy and fellow congressman,Antonio ‘Tonyboy’ Floirendo.


But De Lima, whom Alvarez earlier,lambasted for her relationship with former driver-bodyguard, Ronnie Dayan, said she declined to make any,statement despite prodding from some media guys to comment on the ‘mess’ Alvarez’s is in.

“I courteously decline. I don’t,feel right rubbing it in even as I note that many people, especially netizens, have been boisterously,expressing their thoughts on this scandal. I also note there is righteous indignation,” said a statement in the,handwritten note shared on De Lima’s Facebook account.

However, she urged Alvarez to stop,judging her on her ‘true character’ since he doesn’t know her.

“Just ask please people who do. So please desist,from perpetuating the lies about my alleged drug links. The people who truly know me,will tell you it’s an absolute nonsense ” she said.

Nevertheless, De Lima,wishes for Alvarez to have peace of mind.

“I pray for the Speaker’s peace of mind,” the senator said.

Dagupan Lingayen Archbishop Socrates,Villegas, president of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), clarified that the,Catholic Church is not against President Rodrigo Duterte and that they actually want,him to succeed as the leader of the country.

“We assured them that we,are not against the President and that we are for the success of the President,” the Manila Bulletin,quoted Archbishop Villegas as saying during his meeting with some Cabinet members,of the Duterte Administration.


The archbishop said they are not,against President Duterte as a person nor attacking the Office of the President, but rather against some government policies,and legislation that they believe would not be of help to the Filipino people.

“What we are against are issues, it is,not the person, it is not the Office of the President that we are attacking so to speak,” Villegas explained.

He cited the killings amid the government’s,intensified war on drugs as one of the issues they are concerned with.

He said they are 100 percent against the,proliferation of illegal drugs and the government’s campaign against it, but said they are concerned with the approach,the government is using to address the problem.

Davao Businesswoman Guillerma “Mina” Barrido, who claimed that she was bribed by the camp of Senator Antonio Trillanes and Leila De Lima to testify against President Rodrigo Duterte showed some evidence that would prove her claims against the two senator.


The text message was posted by Edith Ging Z. Caduaya on her Facebook Account and it shows the conversation between Senator Antonio Trillanes and Ms. Barrido.

The conversation showed that Senator Antonio Trillanes asked the Davao Businesswoman to send some pictures of her together with President Duterte which he called “Dutirty”.

Ms, Barrido also showed the latest text message of Senator Antonio Trillanes threatening her that no one would believe her if she revealed their plans against President Rodrigo Duterte.

Trillanes told Barrido that they recorded all their phone conversation that can be used to debunk all her claims, but the davao businesswoman is confident because she carried some documents and emails that would prove all of her testimony.

She also showed some of the text messages of Attorney Jude Sabio, lawyer of Edgar Matobato to her. The text messages were the draft of statement created by the lawyer to use against President Rodrigo Duterte in International Criminal Court.

Last month, the lawyer of Edgar Matobato said that they would file a case against President Rodrigo Duterte in International Criminal Court.

“Mina was paid to be the witness in a case which the Liberal party is building against Duterte before the international Criminal Court (ICC), but when the affidavit was prepared she refused to sign it as she described the document “FULL OF LIES”, Nakonsensya KO,” Edith Ching Caduaya said.

Korean Ambassador Kim Jae-shin paid Philippine president-elect Rodrigo Duterte a personal visit in Davao City last June 2, 2016.


Kim, speaking to media after his visit, said he congratulated Duterte and spoke of mutual cooperation in a number of fields.


“We hope under his leadership, the Philippines will continue to develop further and further. We want to expand our bilateral relations. Both countries will cooperate in a mutually beneficial way,” he said.
Kim extended the Korean government’s vow to help Duterte achieve his famous anti-crime plan by donating police equipment.

“We will provide equipment like patrol cars and motorbikes worth $6.6 million. This is a donation,” said the Korean official.

“The priority is to stamp out crime and drugs. The Korean government fully supports and will cooperate,” he said.

One of the results he expects from Duterte’s anti-crime plan is a better environment for investments and businesses in the Philippines.

One of the main topics the two leaders discussed was economic development. Korean companies have interests in infrastructure, transportation, and agriculture.

For instance, the Korean government and the Philippines signed a $100-million loan deal for the Panguil Bay Bridge that will connect Tangub in Misamis Oriental to Tubod in Lanao del Norte.

It aims to increase growth in Mindanao with reliable and efficient transport infrastructure connecting the northern and western areas.

Isang babaeng nagngangalang Guillermina Barrido ang lumantad at nagsalita matapos umano itong pagtangkaang suhulan ng kampo ni Senator Antonio Trillanes kapalit ng pagtestigo laban kay President Rodrigo Duterte.

Ibinulgar ni Barrido na kinausap umano siya ng tatlong lalaki na pinangalanan niyang si Father Alejo, Atty. Jude Sabio at Jonel upang tumistigo laban kay Duterte.

Igiit nito na hindi niya pinirmahan ang affidavit na gawa ng lawyer ni Edgar matobato na si Jude Sabio.

“Nakunsensya ako kasi nakita ko ang affidavit ay hindi totoo,” she said during the press conference held at the Royal Mandaya Hotel. “Hindi ko makayang pirmahan ang affidavit kasi ang content nito ay puro kasinungalingan.”

Isinaad rin nito na kada sira daw niya kay Pangulong Duterte ay binibigyan umano ito ng pera ni Father Alejo.

Ayon kay Barrido, meron daw siyang ebidensiyang hawak na magpapatunay na totoo ang kanyang sinasabi at totoong may suhulang, pananakot na nangyari.

“May text nga si Senator Trillanes sa akin na tinatakot nila ako. May mga pananakot sa akin kasi sabi nila kapag bumaliktad ako, matatalo ako sa kanila,” she said. “Nakunsensya din ako na lalo na sinasabi nila sa akin na i-impeach na si Duterte. Deep inside, alam ko rin ang kabutihan ni Duterte.”


“Nakunsensya ako kasi nakita ko ang affidavit ay hindi totoo,” she said during the press conference held at the Royal Mandalay Hotel. “Hindi ko makayang pirmahan ang affidavit kasi ang content nito ay puro kasinungalingan.”

In six years, Noynoy only ever fired Arroyo appointees, never his own bata-bata. He even put a suspended police official in charge of a sensitive operation. Mamasapano was the direct result of that.

Noynoy never held an executive position in his life, is why. So his top requirement was loyalty to him and to hell with any other qualification. He sincerely believed that letting go of someone you hired reflects badly on you as the guy who did the hiring.


That is the idiotic policy which protected all the thieves and incompetents for six years of Aquino, people whose only real talent was sucking up to the boss. People like Abad, Abaya, Roxas, De Lima, Soliman, Naguiat, Honrado, Purisima (both of them) and that entire rogues' gallery of so-called high public officials.

Thank God that nightmare is over.
