“People will really look for them,” the PNP chief said.
On April 10, at least 10 Abu Sayyaf members, led by sub-leader Abu Rami sailed from Basilan in Mindanao to Bohol in Central Visayas,to allegedly conduct kidnappings. They were aided by a local resident identified as Joselito Melloria, who acted,as the group’s guide in the remote town of Inabanga.
The bandits’ plan was foiled by the joint forces,of the police and military. Four bandits, including Abu Rani, were killed. The others remain at large.
