De La Salle University's Professor of Political Science Antonio Contreras in his Facebook page shared the story of a netizen he refused to name about her family's problem with the narcotics trade.
This is in line with the recent statement of Vice President Leni Robredo that Methampethamine should be decriminalized in the country to solve the problem in the illegal drug trade.
The netizen said that she came from a slum area in Quezon City and worked as a labandera, while her father and brother were drug addicts.
She said that her father even defended the rapists of her autistic sister.
She asked for a clear distinction between legalization and decriminalization of shabu so that she and the rest of the country will be enlightened.

being a lavandera before, me and my nanay never resorted to drugs, the user was my father, a tambay who steals fr his wife and children's hard earned money sometimes disappearing for a few weeks, madalas dun sya nagtatago sa caloocan, daming pusher dun eh.
but, we never considered him as a CRIMINAL, we labelled him as an irresponsible father and then my mother's health detoriarated, dahil sa hirap, imbes pambili na lang gamot nya, ibibili na lang namin ng ilang kilong bigas, kape, asukal.. finally, she died, leaving us with nothing.
my father will never give his life for us, kinampihan nya pa nga yung adik na nang reyp sa autistic sister ko, to save my younger siblings fr all that hell, inuwi ko sila sa probinsya.. dun sila nag stay.
Naikulong nga yung mga big time pusher, kaso naging big time druglord naman nung nsa bilibid na.. LUMEVEL UP kumbaga.
thank you po.
