WATCH: UP graduate berates mall employee: “San ka nag-aral? UP DILIMAN AKO!”

A video taken on 2015 where a customer who claimed that he graduated in University of the Philippines-Dilima berated a mall employee in Manila resurfaced on social media amid the criticisms received by the university after they condemned the doctorates honoris causa that planned to be confer to President Rodrigo Duterte.

In the video that taken inside the mall’s office, the complaining and angry customer berated the mall employee because of their ‘poor customer service’.

The customer also claimed that he was shouted by the male employee instead of pacifying him.

According to the sources, the customer shouted at the employee first before the latter stood up and told the self-proclaimed UP Diliman graduate that ‘no one have the right to shout at him’

“instead of pacifying, ikaw pa ang nakikipag sabayan,” The customer told the employee.

But the employee denied the claims of his customer and he said that he tried to control the situation first.

The employee also said that the customer labeled him as ‘incompetent’ in front of the other people.

The video also shows the customer stood up and confronted the employee.

“sir wag niyo kong duruin, wala kayong karapatan na bastusin ako… hindi ako pinag aral ng nanay ko para bastusin ng isang tulad niyo” The employee told his customer.

In reply, the customer boasted where he graduated.

“San ka nag aral? UP DILIMAN AKO! Kung nag aral ka talagang maigi should’ve know that, don’t put him on customer service!” The customer said.

After the video went viral, the complaining customer identified as Dennis Celestial, a celebrity stylist and accessory-designer.

According to the sources, the employee who also identified as Aldin Barral gave his customer a wrong movie ticket.


Because of the little mistake, Celstial confronted his customer and called him incompetent, in response Celestial leave the ticket booth to tell his customer: “Wala kayong karapatan sigawan ako!”

Sources said that the berated employee graduated from BS Nursing at Our Lady of Fatima University

The video saddened some of the graduates from University of the Philippines after the netizens generalize all the graduates from UP as arrogant.

“I’m really annoyed at people who stereotype graduates of UP Diliman just because of rotten eggs it has produced.” award winning blogger and UP Diliman graduate Mark Madrona said in his post.
