The new owner of the house of former Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Secretary Dinky Soliman turned over a box full of money to the Quezon City DSWD Office on Monday.

The box made of glass is believed to be a donation box from Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) outside the country as it contains different bills.

Arturo Vanguardia, the new owner of the house said his family purchased the house from a real estate agent last month. Vanguardia said the Tandang Sora, Quezon City house was owned by former DSWD Secretary Dinky Soliman, but the latter decided to sell the house after she stepped down from her government post last June.

Vanguardia said his house helper found the box together with rotten clothes and other things that believed to be relief goods inside the garage.

The box contains different bills and coins mostly from Arab countries, with some US dollar, Philippine peso, and Hong Kong dollar bills.
